Tips For Travel

  • If you need to order or renew your passport – do this sooner than later due to delays! Your passport must have a 6-month validity to get back into US.

  • There will be Wi-Fi at the resort, but if you want to have cell service during your stay (without having a huge bill later on) contact your cell provider to see what packages they offer for out of country.

  • If you are checking luggage they will verify your passport at that time. If you’re not checking any luggage then you will need to get your passport verified at your gate counter.

  • You will want to fly into Cancun, MX. You will need to book a shuttle to the Hilton, which is about an hour and a half. You can book transportation through your Destify reservation or you can find your own transportation service. We have used Happy Shuttle Cancun in the past and have had great experiences!

  • On your flight to Mexico you will be handed a form to complete for entrance into the country. You will need to complete the top and bottom portion -- customs will take the top portion. You MUST keep the bottom portion to return to the US – put it somewhere safe for duration of your stay.

  • Upon check in at Hilton, you will be given access to the Hilton App. You will need to download this app as this is your way of making any kind of reservation needed. Dinner reservations will always need to be made except for night of the wedding, Friday the 30th.

  • If you want to go off the resort and explore, we suggest bringing local currency. Pesos can be ordered through your local bank. It usually doesn’t take long to come in but we would suggest ordering 2 weeks in advance to be safe.

  • Hilton can also assist with booking any kind of excursion or offer suggestions of things to do in the area.

  • On the resort they should serve bottled water for the most part. If you go off resort, ask for bottled water – your tummy will thank you later. :)
